After the installation of a dental crown or a bridge

Written by Centre dentaire Repentigny | Aug 24, 2023 8:16:18 PM

The placement of bridges or crowns requires one or two appointments, depending on the chosen design type. We utilize CEREC technology to carry out the design and placement of bridges and crowns directly at our clinic. However, in certain aesthetic or technical cases, we also collaborate with an experienced laboratory.

Treatment Day:
  • Take prescribed medication as needed.
Things to Avoid:
  • Consuming hot liquids while under anesthesia.
  • Eating sticky or hard foods (chewing gum, candies).
Diet:
  • Chew on the opposite side.
From the day after until complete healing:
  • Brush your teeth normally, using caution with dental floss to avoid dislodging the temporary crown.

If you lose your temporary crown, we encourage you to visit the clinic immediately for reattachment. Waiting too long could make placing the new crown more complex, and other teeth might shift into the open space.
